Fried Green Tomatoes and Eggs




A few of my heirloom tomatoes fell off the vine early this year, so I tried my hand at fried green tomatoes.

I dredged thick slices of tomato (1/3" slices) in buttermilk and then in cornmeal with a bit of salt and pepper.

Sauteed in a hot pan with a little spray of olive oil.
